5R rules for clothing: rewear, reduce, repair, resell, recycle

minimalism sustainability

Have you heard about the Zero Waste global environmental movement? It is globally aimed at reducing the amount of waste. Locally, this is expressed in getting rid of unnecessary things in the living space. It is achieved by observing 5 simple rules, which I will describe in detail below:â €
â €
🌿 Rewear. Choose comfortable basic clothing. It will easily fit into your daily wardrobe. Give up clothes that you have worn only a couple of times in a long time. Give her a new life by giving it to someone who really needs it;⠀
â €
🌿 Reduce. It is impossible to give up clothes, but to reduce the number of trips to the store is real. Buy only the things you need of good quality so that they serve for more than one year;⠀
â €
🌿Repair. Before sending torn clothes to the trash, try to sew them up. Independently or by giving it to the studio. Most often, we say goodbye to a thing unreasonably early;⠀
â €
🌿 Resell. There are many services for selling used items. Unwanted clothes can also be taken to a thrift store nearby. You will be surprised how quickly you will be able to find new owners for your boring wardrobe items;⠀
â €
🌿 Recycle. Many stores accept old clothes in exchange for a discount or money. H&M, Eileen Fisher, Madewell, Levi's, The North Face will help you free the shelves from old things that are no longer pleasing.⠀
â €
As you can see, today there are all conditions to make a small contribution to the salvation of our planet. Choosing a conscious attitude to shopping, you also significantly save your money.
