Sargylana, SANDARA's founder telling her story

Greetings to all lovers of eco-friendly comfort! My name is Sargylana, I am the founder of the Sandara. And today I want to tell you a few facts about myself and my brand.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
At school, I liked the sciences, so it is quite natural that I am a physicist by my first education. But 5 years at the University showed that I absolutely do not want to study physics all my life. And I went to the second higher - economic. After honestly working for 5 years as an economist in the civil service, I went into creativity, opened my own business. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
I learned the basics of sewing at the end of 2015. Before that, there were only modest attempts without the skills. Training gave me, first of all, self-confidence. I began to sew often and with pleasure. Now sewing is no longer just a creative activity and a business. This is my meditation. And I have a new goal - to learn how to sew more complex things.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
The first product of Sandara, which I had high hopes for, did not meet expectations. The basic dress of a straight cut with an expanded bottom did not greatly interest the audience. In the end, the few dresses I made sold out. There were even good reviews, but there was no more request, and I removed them from the listing.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
After that, in the summer of 2019, the Lily dress became a bestseller on the Etsy marketplace! I spent literally $100 on the fabric for the first products. I put all the money I got back into Sandara. And so each order I invested in the development of the brand for a long time. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
I love shirts very much and often wear them. I tried to add a linen shirt to Sandara's assortment, but there was no expected response. Despite the fact that this is one of the masthaves of the basic wardrobe. The production of a shirt is more complicated than the production of a dress. A lot of details, complex seams, everything should sit as neatly as possible. But I really liked making the shirt. The feeling that you are collecting puzzles and with each step the result is very pleasing. Perhaps someday I will make a second attempt to "embed" it in the collection, but for now I will leave this idea. ⠀⠀
